Glogster

Glogster is a very easy tool to use, you simply pick which item you want to use, a picture, text, video, etc. Then you can edit it, and change it however you want! I think Glogster will be extremely useful in the classroom. Students can create one instead of using a poster board to present to the classroom. Also teachers can use it to present information in a more interesting way, that catches the students attention more. In addition for teachers they could use Glogster as a way to post assignments.  The teacher could include links, videos that might help them throughout the assignment.

Wordle

http://www.wordle.net/show/wrdl/5024563/Classroom_Rules
No other websites were used to compose this.

My favorite ideas for using Wordle in the classroom, besides to display classroom rules, would be to to use it after reading a book.  Students can use this to collaborate all of the main points in the story. Also, this would be a great tool for students to use at the end of the year, they can make two, one about their favorite things they did this year, and another one about their least favorite things. Finally I think this would be great for teachers to create one each week and have all the main things students are going to be learning in the upcoming week!

Motivational Posters

Motivational posters are being used in classrooms to motivate students.  The posters are used to motivate and inspire the children to try their best, think in a different, and unique way.  In addition, the posters can also can be used to inform them of why education and school is important.  These are ways teachers can use the posters, however students can create these posters as well!  Interesting ways for students to use these posters in the classroom would be to make posters of what they learned and share with the class!

Some trouble that I experienced when making the poster was simply finding a picture.  It is often hard to find a picture that is copyright free.  When making this I struggled, I wanted to go to Google Images the whole time.  This is because it is faster and easier to find a picture you want to use, copyright free images lack in variety.  So i'll just have to check more websites out and try to find some that work better for me.

Only2Clicks!

Only 2 Clicks is a website that allows people to save any website they go to so they are able to go back to the website in only two clicks! Also it allows you to categorize different websites in tabs so it's easier to keep organized. In the education world, I think that this could be very useful for teachers as well as students. Teachers can use this to categorize different useful websites for their students in each subject. For example I want to become an Elementary school teacher, and I could have a tab for math, reading, spelling, websites. This way it'd be organized and really easy to access for them. Also if I had a specific project for students to do I could put websites up that will help with that specific project. For students, they could use this to present their stories they write, if they are writing about a zoo they went to, they could add a link for the website of the zoo, and other links for the animals the student saw.

Here is my Only2Clicks!

ToonDoo

http://www.toondoo.com/cartoon/4449845

This is my ToonDoo about Elementary School rule. In the future, as a teacher, this would be very useful to keep students entertained. I could use ToonDoo to illustrate different lessons to students. Also, I could use this for students to present different stories they write to the class. Finally, a way to incorporate this into the classroom would be using it for in class assignments. Instead of having to write the assignment on the board and take up class time, I could have one already prepared for them.

Voki

This week, we learned about Vokis.  This is a program which lets you customize an avart and post it to your blog. This was a very interesting project, I never knew you could do something like that! I definetely would use this on my classroom blog when I start teaching. I think it would be an awesome way to introduce myself to the parents and students. Also it would be a great place for the students to go and check their homework for the week. This is a very interesting tool and I will definetely have to encorporate it into my teaching someday.
